Bloomin' heck, Christmas shtuffs are exhausting... Two intense days of shopping, both physical and virtual and I just have 2 people left to sort... Oh, and 20 BILLION CARDS TO DRAW! *shifty eyes* Ok, maybe not 20 BILLION but not far off... As you know, I want to draw my cards but if I draw them for one person, I have to draw them for eeeeeeveryone....*cries ink tears* I have completed... wait for it - One. O_o and without exaggeration, I probably have about 20, 25? to do so I might just do personalised ones for a few select people and just photocopy one design for the rest because I still have homework and revision to do. Oh yes, my people, it's that time of year again. Is it just me or does 'revision-season' seem to encompass the WHOLE YEAR?! ... I'm going to fail mocks... *tired sobs*

This is a doodle I did in the library when work was making my head spin - some good ol' graphite-therapy. I have the various steps and versions of said doodle because I really liked this drawing. I know the proportions are off but it's not exactly realistic... I'll just... -here-

Because Everyone Needs a Hand Drawn Card...

Anyone who knows anything about me probably has realised that I love to draw my friends' cards; Christmas, Birthday, Good luck with your pet rock - The usual.

Whilst this is a great way to save money show your appreciation o_O... it is very time consuming and once you've drawn the balloons, flowers and swirly things... the ideas run a little dry and you have to start getting a little creative.

I understand that you may not understand a lot of the cards because my mind works in **mysterious** ways... i.e. I have tenuous and interesting inside jokes which I sometimes try to put onto cards. Usually failing miserably... but don't worry, even my friends sometimes fail to get the joke... aimed at them... because it's our inside joke. Ahaha! *sobs*


Anyway, here are a few of my favourites. These are more doodles than drawings and a lot of the time I just opt for the easier cartoon rather than real drawing so bare that in mind when critiquing :')

This maaaay have been a little late in arriving... It was supposed to be for a January birthday but... shhh...

Anywho, anytime you can throw in a Portal reference is a good one and personally, yes the drawing is shoddy but I definitely didn't laugh at myself for a solid 10 mins when drawing this... No sirey...  o_O

Yes, the image quality is poor atrocious but it was a really small card... This was a last minute Bane card for my brother (I may have editted it a bit but hush hush) and it turned out ok :)

This was a Christmas card to my dear friend this year. And her name is Cariboo (yes boo... not bou), The Wizard of Understanding (hence the wizard hat, obviously...) And you can check the birth certificate if you don't believe me... *nervous twitch* I don't think anymore explanation is needed other than - we're a little unhinged.

I must admit, this is one of my favourite cards. I know it's simple, and hella girly but this summarises exactly the relationship me and my best friend have. I loved drawing/??watering??  it <-- makes it sound like a plant! It was a wet paintbrush and fine-liner... not that that matters... 

Penguin Christmas Card - Dec 2014

Ok, this one I am proud of. This is a Christmas card for this year so you are seeing this before even the receiver does. He is a penguin fan - Surely there's a club for that? and this is probably the only seriously drawn card here and I must say I am a lil' chuffed.

So, hopefully from some of these you can see what I mean about the 'improvement' as time went on compared to the Espada... *cough*oh dear*cough*

I have a Cunning Idea

Drawings..!

'Eh?' is probably your most likely response to this but, please, indulge me.

So we have all gathered that I am rather unreliable - especially when it comes to writing - BUT - (Aha, see *cunning plan alert*) I'm always drawing *cough* exaggeration *cough* Ok, I draw a lot... I doodle, ok? The frequency with which I do so is not important in this case. 

Hence, I often have spare squiggles hanging about the place and I thought to myself - what area of interest definitely doesn't have loads of other, better people blogging about it..? ART! (Sorry, "Art" - my drawings are probably not worth being called Art) 

See, it's ironic because there are loads of awesome artists out there blogging their work who are much much more interesting and comparatively I am not worth blinking at but screw it politely move it aside!

Get any of that?

In conclusion to that indecipherable rant (I should be a code...-maker?! Do they have an official name? I dunno) I will most likely be slowly posting up my 'work' to give you all the pleasure of mocking it :') *cries inside* 

Heads up, I won't likely be making much of a philosophical comment on said drawings but maybe more of a "What, When, Why" kinda thing... (The what is so that you don't have to ask the embarrassing-for-everyone question of 'What the $!*@^? feck is that?)

These drawings were done a long time ago at the beginning my anime-crazy phase (not that it ever ended) And I had intended to draw all ten Espada from Bleach but I couldn't find any drawable photos at the time... *cough*lame excuse*cough*. But yeah, this was a long time ago and I laugh when I see them now but hey, it's all development!
