Isn't this a Drawing Blog?

Yes, Yes It Is...

But you wouldn't suspect as much from my recent posts so let's "Take it to the Chorus". (subtle JT reference is subtle...) I, suprisingly, actually have many drawings on hand but just haven't put them up... Not really sure why. Probably because they're not my best but hey, this blog is almost solely so that older me can look back and laugh at my pathetic current-self so let's see what I have to offer *digs deep into archive of riff-raff and has asthma attack from virtual dust scattering*

Just the One

Just a teaser because I am a doodle-dragon so instead of stockpiling gold, I stockpile drawings! Mwahahaha! *shifty, awkward silence... o_O*
Moving On! This is a drawing I did for my sister and I also used on my kindle case. I actually really love this picture because it kinda has a lil' story behind it.

For my ?10th? birthday my sister drew me a card (we always have in our family) of two faeries - A gold faerie and a rainbow faerie - symbolising my sister and I (smother your smirks about the level of cheesiness please!) Anyway, as a little kid, it really meant a lot to me seeings as I did look up to my sister as a golden, faerie queen. So, this year, I did my own replication/interpretation.

Yada yada yada... *wakes up readers who have been bored into a coma-like sleep* I'm sure that this is highly interesting for you all but I don't wanna make all the other bloggers look rubbish so I'll cut to the chase.

To my dear sister...

Day of Exile 2

And This is Where it Goes Downhill

(yes... on Day 2. I sure lasted long)

Tuesday 1st September - Day 2

Today D of E actually started. Remember when I said that the happy feeling wouldn't last long. Well call me a fortune teller because it was true. I'm okay but I wouldn't have given you that answer whilst walking. I'd forgotten how painful carrying packs was. Today was our shortest walk so that's depressing. We saw some beautiful views and skimmed stones which set the day off nicely but, at lunch, I happened to sit right on a red ants' nest and got bitten to shreds. It hurt to hell and I was so tired by that point that I broke down in tears because it was so painful. My ol' chum helped out a lot ridding me of ants and spraying the bites I couldn't reach but I still felt really fragile.

Another member supposedly found this whole affair hilarious. I'm still pissed at him for walking off 1km in front of us with another long-legged member and getting lost while we waited for them on the bridge that my navigator friend has explicitly told us to cross. This added 40 mins onto our journey and put everyone in a thoroughly bad mood after they received a bollocking from the navigator and hence I was pissed at the guys for being pissed etc etc.

This camp is pretty and has a nice river which ol' chum and I paddled and splashed in (we had done similar on the walk) Food was good - I cooked so bag should be lighter tomorrow. The tent ceiling is pretty low this time and I found it hard to sleep in last night so I hope it's better today. It's currently raining which fairs pretty badly for tomorrow. And, to be honest, I already miss my mum. I'll feel better after I've conquered tomorrow's mountain (hopefully)

£600 Worth of Pain Please!

D of E - A.K.A Days of Exile

When you hear the words 'Lake District' you might think holiday destination, beautiful scenery or quiet English villages. I now think "Walking, Walking, Camping, oh and some more Walking". Yes, I was one of the fools to think I was hardy enough to finish the Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award... Why 2014 Beth? Why? I may seem a little pessimistic but truth be told I look back on it all very fondly and will remember it forever... Buuuut I won't be rushing to pay £600 and relive it anytime soon.

And Your Point is...?

Right, yes. So, I wrote a small diary whilst there and I thought it would be worth putting it on here more for me than you guys because I'd like to be able to recall the smaller details. I thought I'd start with Monday today (Because guess what? It's a Monday! So clever Beth, so clever) and post the rest throughout as if I were really doing it right now! :O Anyway, they're very short but that's cool with everyone right?... *crickets* ...I'll take that as a yes! You might be able to tell that my mood deteriorates as the week goes on.

Monday 31st August - Day 1

Yes, I am tired. I've been awake since 3.45am so of course I am. But honestly, I'm not too bad. I want to hold onto that sentiment because I suspect it won't last long. I didn't sleep on the train - I think that helped, I'm less groggy and restless. Anyway, we're at camp no.1 now. We've set up tents (1.15pm) and it's gorgeous weather (although the heat may be a problem later) and the campsite is very nice The toilets and showers are super good and no rocky incline to reach them this time! However, I feel that from here it can only get worse...
Curious George (our instructor) has told us that we're a strong group so don't have to do the acclimatisation walk. We're still working out if he's pulling our legs or if he actually trusts us.
I hope this good feeling lasts - I somehow doubt it.

We went to Keswick Town as a warm up walk today. No packs, short route. It was good. Feet already hurt but I'll be okay (or so I tell myself). It was a lovely town - busy, buzzing, lot's of street musicians + performers wearing feathered costumes. We even saw a dog walking itself... (Refer to Diagram 1) George looked in mountaineering shops and we chilled and, of course, one particular member bought food. We got back while it was still light, I had a hot shower which was amazing; setting high standards for a week that can be only a disappointment in the hygiene area. One of the team cooked, we ate. T'was good. A group of us then also pissed about had some honest fun playing games (40:40 It) and trying our hand amateur acrobatics with the 'no support seating circle' (Refer to Diagram 2) and the 'unsupported table' (RTD3) plus a 10 person pyramid. We were incredibly proud but only to be shot down by the instructor, who was less impressed since it was supposedly 'dangerous' Pfft.

It's been a good day, I hope I can maintain high spirits.

Not Technically Drawing

Sand Art Hair

Emphasis on the ART bit
Yep, I succumbed. I dyed my hair for the first time ever. not all of it - just the ends. But, it was still a big thing for me (Don't laugh! it was scary!)

So I'm sure many of you have heard of the the new craze of Sand-Art hair, dying hair multiple crazy colours with a certain technique. Whilst I realise this isn't sketching or drawing, it does require quite a bit of skill and creativity (hence why when I tried it, it didn't quite so sleek but I'm in love with the colours although I did have to bleach it first which was terrifying. I just wanted to do a quick post on the result. Don't worry, it won't be a long ramble as per usual.

Before and After Shots (... and After again; I did it twice)

There's quite a few more of these ones.. What can I say? I was pleased!

Attempt 2 Also!
Left the dye in for a Lot longer this time so much bolder colours
So there you have it, my summer endeavor. I was very proud of myself as you can tell by all the photos. Anyway, I have a few more not-so-drawing-y things that I'd like to post so I might put them on here or do something. I dunno (Shh Beth, you're rambling)

P.S. Yes, I changed my Blog Name - Crazy, right?

"2 Month Time Travel" ft.(Heavily); Zelda

Enough with the excuses...

Ok, I get it, I'm crap. Because this lack of posts seems to be starting to be my defining habit..  I won't insult you by restoring to the old 'I've been busy' regime. To be honest, I'm disappointed in myself - I was doing so well for a little while there! Don't you agree?!(Rhetorical... don't answer that... I'll be heartbroken)  But hey, I'm back and there's no more exams for the time being so I'm looking forward to giving some time back to sketching doodling. Don't kid yourself, Beth. It'll end in you curled in a ball in a corner.

So that was 2 months ago, And look, I'm still crap! But hey, let's not mope (That was so last year, and the year before that, and the year before that... Why, Beth? Why?) But I'm here, I'm listening to some sick toons agreeable melodies and I'm not gonna lie, they're all Zelda Remixes (Viewer "You're a nerd!"  Me - "Well you, sir/madam, obviously have never experienced true joy because this is one fandom that I will defend!" Although just between you and me, I think it's getting a bit rocky so new releases are exciting! But I can't afford them :'( so no joy for me) That went a bit off topic for a second there so bringing it back to the channeled nonsense - All this Zelda what-have-you has encouraged me to post all my (SURPRISE, SURPRISE!) ZELDA doodles! - Seriously, who saw that coming? I know I didn't O.o

Quit yo' Jibber-Jabber!

I have rambled quite enough, hence why I shall proceed to post le drawings :3 They're vaguely ordered old to new downwards in as much as I can't re-heally remember all the dates of each one. Have fun, laugh at the crumby proportions and all that jazz.

Deku Scrub Link - Majora's Mask
(Some time in 2013/14)
These first three were all doodles I did in the back of my R.E book
when I should've been learning bible quotes etc.
Personally, I feel this was much more worth it :3

Princess Zelda - Legend of Zelda Manga
(~ 2013/14)
I know these doodles are a bit dodge but I had never drawn
free-hand with pen before this so actually quite happy in general

Sheik - Ocarina of Time
(~ 2013/14)
My favourite of the 3

Link - Cover of Twilight Princess Game
(September 2014)
I am pretty proud of these drawings, a shame I don't have the
original copies. I have edited them slightly on the PC but
only really upping the contrast and brightness because the picture
was very shoddy.. I promise

Ganondorf - Twilight Princess
(September 2014)

Again, don't have the original copy but you can tell that I am super proud of this one as it is XTRA LARGE.
The screenshot I had was really dark too so yes, I buggered up my eyes but I got something I was super proud of.

As you were...

So there we go.The not so prodigal son ?daughter? returns to the blog at last. I hope you learned today that Zelda is awesome and that not much of this post today had anything to do with what I was posting.

Stay Awesome! (Unlike me. I have failed in that quest with the whole not uploading thing... :( )

P.S. Just realised I still don't have a title for this post... Erm...

P.P.S - I don't know if you are interested at all in this but I just found this (Zelda) song which started off a little meh but I was like - OK, Yes Please!  So check it out :) Dragon Roost Island MetalRock Remix (Legend of Zelda- The Wind Waker) by TheOnlyDeerAlive

P.P.P.S. Ok, I kept listening and there were LOADS of great tracks so jokes on me!

Merry New-Christ-Year-mas...

Hello Everyone!

I sincerely hope you all had a wonderful Christmas/New Year and are going into 2015 with a positive outlook, and if you're not - 'C'mere' *consoles* Is that really how it's spelt? like same as game console? I get you, we'll get through this together! *overly dramatic voice*
I'm not saying I'm miserable about the New Year but it's kinda daunting and so much to look forward to = so many opportunities to mess up!

Anywho, time for an update I think! I have a few pictures but I'm not sure which ones to put up... I might just have to put up a random selection of them and see if they look right together x'D - As you can see today I am soooo organised. (Psst, I'm lying... I'm really frazzled at the moment) - Side Note... I read through this post over a year later and noticed half a dozen grammatical mistakes... I am ashamed, and I apologise

Realistic-ish Drawings -

(Hey! I managed to scrounge a title for all these!)

These are my more realistic drawings (I use 'realistic' loosely, I know but they're O.K... Ahaha, I wish :') *sobs*) So here is my compilation of 'commissions' - (again, used loosely, my friend paid a fiver which I begrudgingly took :P No, seriously, he shouldn't have paid me...) Presents, and detailed sketches. Lemme hear your feedback! :)

Birthday Commission - 2014

This was my attempt at an interpretation of an adorable photo that my friend gave me to draw for his mother's birthday - Very sweet, I know!

Birthday Commission - 2014

 Birthday Portrait - 2014

This was a present I gave one of my dearest friends. She is stunning and the photo I drew this from was a gorgeous portrait of her.

Photocopied and Penned

Christmas/New Year Present - 2014

This one I quite like, but I know it's a bit squiffy. As you have probably gathered, I draw a lot of gifts for friends because... Well I'm pretty skint I'm a thoughtful person o_O And also I'm useless at getting everyone presents before Xmas, hence - 'New Year's Present'. But this was a drawing I quite liked, It is drawn from a real tattoo so 'To whomever owns this tattoo... Sorry! Please don't sue me!'

Classic Tattoo Skull Face
 Christmas/New Year 2014

So these are a few of the drawings that I am actually proud of, kinda. I know they're not much but again, please let me know your thoughts. I hope you like 'em! ^_^

Thanks guys! Stay Awesome! And Happy 2015!
